Last weekend I walked to Selfjarnarnes which is a kind of suburb of Reykjavik:
It has an offshore island accessible only at low-tide which is where the light house is.

A modern turf-roofed house.
I was really looking for Rauða Ljónið (Red Lion) which is supposed to be the largest pub in the world, but I couldn't find it!

I want to live in a sod-roofed house. And delicate meadow flowers will bloom on the roof in the spring. And, I want a goat tethered up there. And I'll wear dirndl skirts and lopi sweaters when I milk the goat and make un-ripened goat cheese.
Very nice photos. It takes more than a good camera to take good pictures. It gives a nice eclectic display of Iceland.
