Without being able to examine them up close, I would say that they resemble kohlrabi, a member of the cabbage family. I found this, which may or may not help. Otherwise, Google kohlrabi and see what you come up with. I have eaten it raw, thinly sliced into salads, although you could probably dice it and cook it in a stirfry. Of course, it might be something completely different, in which case none of the preceding applies.
